Luxury bar design

This is luxury bar design. But what is a bar design? Well, we sell luxury materials for commercial bars. So many times we sell to an interior designer who creates a concept of the bar design. And the designer or architect might then ask: What is the best shape for a bar? And while some like the classic lineal bar, others prefer the L-shaped bar. While it is thought of as important, that there is clear view on the guests and an interaction to the barkeeper is easily possible. And also it is good if a lot of space directly at the bar is provided. Bar stools can be comfortable and be 6 to 8 inches apart from each other. Wile nowadays, bar stools do not only have foot rests, but also backs. Other things the interior designer of a bar will keep in mind are classic principles of interior design such as line, form and lighting. Another aspect that a bar design will feature just as any other interior design are colors and patterns, which in this case have can be extravagant and of a high quality. And so with the right proportions, the bar can use affluence and wealth to create that extra fancy look. As the feel can be of richness and grandeur if you aim for a luxury bar design. And while food service vendors are of no concern for the interior design, the walls are. And of course the ambience will pertly be defined by the decor, which therefore should display quality and elegance. While from our bar material, of which the patterns are always unique, not only furniture can be created. As you can see in the example images, where the material is part of the bar counter as a decorative element. While it does not matter what the dimensions of a bar design are. Because we deliver the panels in every shape you need to your bar. While a standard height of a bar is 42 inches, we can take whatever height the architect comes up with. Because we work with modern computer equipment in order to manage the process of serving the tiles in the right dimensions. Therefore, the reason that the depth of a bar should be between 20 or 30 inches, is not about that we can only deliver the building material in these sizes, but that the barkeeper has to give things over the bar counter to the guest. Also, the bar top has to provide space for glasses and bottles. The standard height of a bar of 42 inches also makes it, that bar height tables range from 41 to 46 inches. Those tables are often used in pubs. Another concern of the interior designer when creating a bar design is that the bartender has to be able to easily reach without moving. Cocktail bar layout considerations are to have space for bottles and taps. The barkeeper will probably know the cocktail recipes, but she might need the garnishes. Those were about what makes a good bar layout. But how can I make my bar attractive? And some people think that your bar is not the first thing, that customers see, but it is your online presence. Also, your bar can have a personal touch additional to the feel of splendor and refined look. Additionally, in order to make your bar not only luxury but attractive, you can offer games. I have been thinking for a long time about a bar that offers Wii bowling like a virtual bowling center. Another idea is to offer discounts, but that might not apply too much for a luxury bar. But with decoration you could hold events like masquerades with opulence and magnificence. And of course you could use social media for your bar, maybe you invite the guests to comment on the events on your account. What is the best surface for a bar? Quartz is often chosen for bar countertops as it is a very hard material. That’s why interior designers use this material frequently when building commercial bars. Somehow similar to that countertop material is granite. If you want to create that extravagant and affluent feel for your bar, you might want to go for a wood countertop such as Walnut, birch or oak. Other typical woods used in bar design to create that lavish and sumptuous feel are maple and mahagony. Other key Elements of good bar design are the location as well as the ease of movement between inside and outside. You should have around 35 inches of room behind a bar. What makes a bar unique can be that menu or the service, and you will find unique bars at the bottom of this page. Another factor that can give your bar a unique appeal and allure can be the atmosphere. Which color is best for bar? Colors like earthy tone well serve bars, while they might not be the best to create a feel of luxury and splendor. Whereas deluxe golden finishes might better create that refinement and glamour you are looking for. While in a standard commercial bar design, brown and olive green are on the color palette of the interior designer. Others choose umber, or dark oranges, which will also serve the splendor of a high class establishment. And remember that a big aspect of luxury is always that it is comfortable. While sports bars are one of the most profitable bars, along with cocktail bars and wine bars.

Those are luxury bar design ideas. And they use the special materials, which world-class interior designers love so much. And those materials, which ACRYLOMERITE supplies can be seen in the images, in order to be presented. So look at the example bar designs and see the magnificent materials are what we offer. Impressive bar design ideas

Good bar interior design uses design ideas. The design ideas are seen in the images. They are examples. They show how the design tile behind the bar is illuminated. They display how the light enters the panel from the sides. With that, the light creates the effect behind the bottles. Also, it can be changed in color. That means it can be blue. The images also show the blue light. It creates a completely different atmosphere. Another idea is seen above the bar. It is having winded acrylic strips hung out. With this, it creates a dreamy interior design. In this interior design, the bar guests can chill. Another idea is seen in the image. And that is to have differently shaped glasses for the drinks. With this, the drinks can be served in their unique glass. That means that every drink gets its own classic style. That gives the tavern a flair of luxury. Even though, it is a very common thing to not serve beer in a cup. And of course, whiskey will classically come in a tumbler. Those principles are adapted in most taverns.

Classic bar interior design

Classic bar design

Bar interior design can be classic. It is shown in the image. The image shows an example. In this example, the benches in front of the bar have a purple surface. Also with their shape the benches are reminiscent of a 60ies look. Moreover, the bar chairs constitute a sixties or fifties ambience. This shows that the concept of this good bar design in Germany. It uses classic design elements. With this, the tavern gains a special flair. The flair captures the bar guests. So that they can have fun with their visit. The image of the bar design shows another classic idea. This idea is the wood material of the room separator. This material has a style used a lot in mid-century modern interior designs. Those designs are just from the time period that is imitated here. Another classic idea is used for this interior design. It is the lamps above the bar. Those are of a distinct shape. Also, they are of copper. This is a material also associated with vintage design.

Great bar illumination ideas

Bar interior design can use spectacular illumination ideas. Those illumination ideas can be used everywhere in the interior design. In this interior design, they are used on the bar. That gives this interior its special character. They can so well use the products. They use the ability of them to have light spreading nanoparticles. That means that the acrylic glass design tiles do not glow. Instead, there are lights installed into the wall behind the bar. Those lights shine into the design tiles. And that makes them appear so bright. So your ideas with light can benefit from this. They can use this material to set up a similar interior design for your bar. Because this good bar design material has these incredible optic abilities. So that is perfectly fit for such plans. It can be a great point of focus. And it can also make the ambience great.

Fantastic restaurant bar design

Outstanding bar design can be necessary in a restaurant. A restaurant can be seen in the image below. The image leads you to restaurant design. It shows how the restaurant has a bar. That’s why it needs bar design. Bar design can also be seen in the example here. The example shows a Beer tub. Behind the beer tub are bottles. And those bottles are on a rack. On the rack are also glasses. Behind those, you see the design tile, which is illuminated. It is actually the same as in the picture above, and also it has a page on this website. The page can be found if you click on the image a bit further down. But let’s go back to the example. Its blue light catches beautifully in the shiny metal of the bar counter. It also works well optically with the glasses on the shelves. Also, it lightens up the bottles. That altogether blends the bar design together. The bar design could then also be connected to the restaurant. The restaurant would need a few features that it has in common. These features might be the same design tiles. Or the same color. With this you get a unified design. And that can good for your interior design. Interior design could also work with contrasts and opposites. For example, in a transitional style. Because the transitional style uses old and new stuff in a mix. This mix creates the special aesthetic. This aesthetic is not always used, though. It is not used in this bar. This bar is in Germany.

Bar design concept of “My Place”. It is a Bar and a restaurant. This restaurant is a quite unique postmodern joint.

Awesome famous iconic bars

Great interior design could be found in famous bars. These bars are really iconic. But they actually don’t often have it. That’s why looking at the most famous bars in the world teaches us something. You may get good numbers of visitors with a great interior design idea. But for a bar to become iconic, the design does not seem to matter all too much.
For example, the world-famous bars we will look at now distinguish mostly by the famous guests. And other bars became popular because of the drinks they offered. Some of them became famous simply because of their age. And some of them gained renown for historical events. And others gained renown for very well done contributions to society.

Boadas Bar

Let’s start with the iconic Boadas Bar in Barcelona. It opened in 1933. It is an art deco cocktail bar. And it is the oldest cocktail bar in Barcelona.

Instead of the interior design, let us watch a cocktail mixer at the Boadas Bar.

The American Bar

The American Bar in the Savoy Hotel in London. It was established in 1893. That makes it London longest surviving cocktail bar. American bar back then referred to a bar serving American style cocktails.

Google Maps for The American Bar in London.

Dukes Bar

Dukes Bar in London is iconic. It was written about in the New York Times. And  the New York Times calls their Martinis: ‘one of the world’s best’. So you might go and look at the website of this bar to see the interior design.

Dukes Bar, London

But maybe more interesting might be to see a martini recipe from this bar. It is presented by Alessandro Palazzi. He is also the iconic bartender of Dukes Bar.

El Floridita

The next famous bar is the El Floridita. Some people say the Daiquiri was invented in it. But that is a point of discussion, since Daiquiri is a name of a City. This bar was frequented by Ernest Hemingway. He used to drink a customized Daiquiri there, Which he always used to order. That is why today a statue of the writer stands in the bar. And a Daiquiri is put in front of the statue every day. So, let’s take a look at the bartender mixing drinks in the El Floridita in Havana.

Harry’s New York Bar

This is Harry’s New York Bar in Paris. It early on had the concept to get famous people as guests. So some of the writers of the “Lost Generation” visited it. “Lost Generation” is a term coined by Gertrude Stein for authors like F. Scott Fitzgerald or Ernest Hemingway. So Ernest Hemingway did not only visit bars in South America. But he also was in this one. Also, other famous visitors came there. So other guests of Harry’s New York Bar were:

  • Rita Hayworth
  • Humphrey Bogart
  • Coco Chanel
  • Jack Dempsey

Some people claim that the drink Bloody Mary was invented in this bar. But it was probably not really invented there. Also, this bar in Paris is mentioned in a James Bond Short story by Ian Fleming.

Dante Bar, New York City

This is Dante Bar. It attracted famous guests such as Whoopi Goldberg, Also it was visited by Jerry Seinfeld. And it had Bob Dylan as its guest. But what we also can see here is that it is not about bar design ideas. Instead, it is about how this bar tries to become an integral part of its community.

And it also has a Cocktail recipe for us.

Seans Bar, Athlone, Ireland

This is Seans Bar. It Might be dating back to the year 900. So it could be the oldest still active bar in the world. Inside of it, you can see where the wall reveals an older wall. So this place being famous has nothing to do with its bar design ideas.

Other video about Seans Bar.

Green Dragon Tavern

This is Green Dragon Tavern in Boston. It does not exist anymore. But there is a new bar with this name. Even though it is not at the primary place which was in Union Street. But in the original place, many events happened that lead to the formation of the United States. For example, the Boston Tea Party was planned there. So the historical events that took place there make it an iconic bar. And not the bar interior design.

famous iconic bars

Long Bar

The next iconic bar is the Long Bar. It is in the Raffles Hotel in Singapore, Malaysia. It is not iconic for its interior design. It is famous because in 1915 women in Singapore were not supposed to drink alcohol. So Ngiam Tong Boon created a pink drink for the women at Raffles’ Hotel which looked like a fruit juice. The drink became famous and is still served there today but with an enhanced recipe.

Les Deux Magots

This is Les Deux magots restaurant. It is the next example on the list of famous bars. It once was the meeting point for the literary and intellectual élite in Paris. It is known for this and not for its restaurant design. Its famous guests include:

  • Simone de Beauvoir
  • Jean-Paul Sartre
  • Albert Camus
  • Pablo Picasso
  • James Joyce
  • Bertolt Brecht

And guess who else was a visitor there. Yes: Ernest Hemingway.

Harry’s Bar

The next iconic place we visit is Harry’s Bar in Venice. It has nothing to do with Harry’s New York Bar. It is named after its founder, Harry Pickering. Also, this place is not known for its bar interior design. But instead it is again famous for its visitors. Its visitors where:

  • Arturo Toscanini, an Italian conductor
  • Inventor Guglielmo Marconi
  • Charlie Chaplin
  • Alfred Hitchcock
  • Richard Halliburton
  • Jimmy Stewart
  • Truman Capote
  • Giuseppe Sinopoli
  • Orson Welles
  • Baron Philippe de Rothschild
  • Princess Aspasia of Greece
  • Aristotle Onassis
  • Tareq Salahi
  • Peggy Guggenheim
  • Barbara Hutton
  • The Mundys
  • George Clooney
  • Woody Allen

And guess who else was a guest of this bar. Yes: Ernest Hemingway.

Al Brindisi

This is the Al Brindisi in Ferrara in Italy. It is the oldest still open wine bar in the world. Established in 1435, the bar attracted some of the most important figures in the arts and sciences.

  • Renaissance sculptor Benvenuto Cellini
  • Painter Titian
  • Mathematician and astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus

It is said Copernicus developed his heliocentric theory when he lived above Al Brindisi bar.

Oldest bars

We had Seans Bar in Ireland and the Al Brindisi in Italy. So let’s check out the world’s oldest bars in general.

Ernest Hemingway Bar

Ernest Hemingway seems to have been a guest in many iconic bars. And it does not make us wonder that one bar he used to visit today is even named after him. This bar is called Ernest Hemingway Bar. It is in Paris in the Ritz hotel. This hotel had several famous guests. Another long term visitor of it was Coco Chanel. And now here are some other bars that Hemingway used to visit.
